Wanted: Single Yamaha Tank Badge

I'm in the middle of re-painting and re-furbishing my 1980 Standard, and part of that involves the fuel tank badges. Both were in pretty bad shape, but I'm re-painting them (from gold to silver) so that isn't too much of an issue.

What IS an issue is the cracked badge on the right side of the tank. This I'll need replaced, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg doing so. If anyone's got a spare badge or two lying around that isn't in too bad of shape (paint isn't an issue- surface condition should be decent), if you could let me know, that'd be great. Thanks.

hey there Lucien Harpress....hello there neighbor....just north of detroit in mount clemens.....have family in adrian and will be riding into town for memorial day weekend....now as far as the badge goes, ya got some options....

a. ya could get some good 2 part expoxy and glue it back 2gether....just make sure both surfaces are clean....mix, spread, stick 2gether, wipe away excess and hold for 5 minutes....cost about 7 bucks at the hardware store...did one of mine that way repainted and you can not tell it was cracked and thats been 2 years ago...

b. call around to some motorcycle junk yards and pray that they have a 80 xs standard laying around.....should cost about 10-20 bucks....

c. ya can go to bikebandit.com and they have them for about 20 bucks plus shipping....if not there check the links section and ya might find them there..
