Some of you guys may have seen my post in rides about the first anniversary of my death....turns out my front end is a little more damaged than I thought-the fender got bent to one side in the crash and I straightened it, but I noticed it steering kinda funny, and the front wheel was back out of alignment due to the fender bending at the bolts/brace. I would like to fix this before spring. Thanks Ed

For what it is worth, I would not think a fork brace will correct the alignment issue your dealing with.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

thought the brace might help because the part of the fender brace that actually keeps the fork legs aligned was deformed in the twist- I took it off and straightened it but the metal seems to be weak now...I can bend it out of shape with my bare hands on the damaged side but not the undamaged side1981 XS1100LH ;King/ queen seat, K&N pod filters

You can realign the forks if you have a steering issue after a wreck; the forks can be twisted in the trees. The fender isn't really there for alignment purposes, although if it's bent it can pull them out of alignment. Used front fenders are all over Ebay, just make sure it matches your front forks in case parts have been swapped.
If anything else is bent, that part will need to be straightened or replaced, although your chances of successfully fixing a bent fork part are very poor. Don't mix standard/special parts as the fork geometry is different.
