Need titled XJ frame.

I picked up a good bike, but no title, and it's going to be a HUGE mess trying to get one since the bike came from out of state.

Anyone anywhere close to Oklahoma have a cheap titled frame sitting around?

I've used this title company 4 or 5 times now with good results , and it will no doubt be cheaper than finding another frame , getting it shipped , and then having to switch all the stuff on your bike over to the new one . they some how get the bike titled in a state that doesn't require titles and then they send the title to you . the last bike I did it on was a cb750 , the owner couldn't find the title right away and said he'd look for it , but he never did find it . I went this route and had an Alabama title in like 2 weeks , then I just re-titled it in Virginia .

That's good to know. That's definately cheaper than the 3-400 they are estimating it's going to cost here, but still more than I'm willing to pay right now. There won't be any shipping charges. If someone has one within a state or so from me, I'll go get it. Plus, I'm wanting to powder coat whatever frame I get anyway, so either way, the bike will get stripped down.

i just bought a nice titled frame off ebay about 2 weeks ago. it came out to $110 shipped and I received it in 2 days from Va to Co. I was very happy.

ok i have a question.. i plan to build a custom bike and use the XS motor.
How in the world do you title something that is new and custom?

Depends on the frame you're using. If the frame itself is full custom and new, you can sometimes register by serial number. A lot of customs use Harldley engines and use the SN off the engine to register. but if you are building a custom out of a modified frame, you just title it as whatever the frame was from.

For example, my FZR600 has parts from about 6 different bikes, all newer, but it is titled and registered as a FZR due to the frame. Which is nice because insurance is really cheap on a 20 year old sportbike.
