Anyone got a set of pads for a '79 Special collecting dust? I'm cheap, and I figgure someones got a set they don't need anymore. My existing pads were soaked with brake fluid for several years and they're not stopping to well after being cleaned in the Ultrasonic, and with brake cleaner.

Being the cheap bastage that I am, I tossed the front pads into a pot of boiling water and Tide and let em stew for about 15 min. Rinsed em off in cold water. Then I broke out a plumbers torch and cooked the hell outta them. There working well enough for now, but I'd still like to get a replacement set sometime.

I'd like to replace them as a set, left & right. Thanks for the eBay link, I dropped in a bid. I wasn't sure if they were right since I know the Specials have tapered pads and the standards don't. A part number search showed them to be Specials.Comment

Damn snipers jacked the price. Pricy bastards, but I've got new pads from FleaBay. Still cheaper than the dealer.
