I am looking for the complete ignition pickup assy for a 1980 XS1100G model. I'm finding out that these things seem to be rare as hens teeth, and I need this assy to complete my replacement engine for my 80 standard with is also my daily driver (driven 6 days a week year round).

Try andreas , he should have them, or I think planedick might have some. What is the problem broken wires? Its not that hard to fix even I can do it !!91 kwaka kz1000p

Checked with andreas and he doesn't have any. The problem is that the engine came without anything on that end of the crank, so in order to adjust the valves and cam chain adjuster before I put it in the frame I need that assy.
Frankly I pretty much had one off ebay for a good price but I got stupid and raised the bidding price too soon and the other bidder took it up higher than my budget allowed for, so I guess he's welcome to it. At least I got good deals on most everything else I need to complete the job.Cy
