One word: Locksmith.

Got a spare tank with original key from Andreas Weiss and was on my way home. Encountered a locksmith in his truck in the Ferry lane ahead of me and asked if he could make a duplicate for me.

Locksmith didn't need to use the original key to make a "copy". He looked up the code and made me two spares right there in the parking lot for $20.

A Toyota key blank worked for my '80G. Then a keymaker with the listing.

I went to the Yamaha dealer, he made me two new keys.
