Need new seat pan for K/Q for 79 Special

Nice K/Q seat, but pan rotted out. Does anyone have a pan for sale? I'd be grateful!

Thanks for your reply Pete. I'm looking for a pan for the K/Q seat, and I don't know what the naked seat frame looks like. Was the stock 81 11SH seat a K/Q, or could I weld?

      Regards, Mike

        they fit

I have had several different seats on my 79 special and all of the had the same seat pan. some were stock some were K/Q seats and one was a high back banana typ K/Q seat. It was the only one that was any different. the difference was a piece of plywood bolted to the original seat pan. So I would say if your seat is good but your pan is not then just get a stock seat pan and hook er up.

Mike, have you tried cleaning up the rust on the pan you have, then reinforcing it with chopped-fibre resin? I did this with the pan on my LG and it worked great. I used a product called Kitty Hair.

Thanks for your reply Ken. The pan is rusted through at the seat anchor point. Pretty significantly, too.
