IIRC you are looking for 3 of the same type CDI boxes, part number starts with 2H7. Yamaha didn't change CDI boxes until the '81 model year, which uses a 4RO starting prefix, and the '82 XJ uses a 10M prefix. The '81 and '82+ models went to an electronic ignition while the earlier units have a vacuum advance mechanism under the left-hand engine cover.
There have been discussions about what will work with what, but the scarcer 4RO and 10M units are not the best choice if you can get the more common and less expensive 2H7 CDI boxes. The timing curve of the later boxes is a bit different; while the later boxes can be made to work with your '80 XS11s you would be better off staying with the stock 2H7 parts.Jerry Fields
