'81 Midnight Special rear brake caliper

Bike has been sitting for years and rear caliper is frozen solid. I cant get the piston out. I've tried compressed air and grease but no luck. Andreas has a rear caliper and master cylinder for a standard XS11 but I would prefer to replace in kind.

    Thanks

Maybe try some heat from a torch. Heat it from the backside, and the aluminum body of the caliper should expand more and quicker than the steel piston. Being full of grease, etc, it will probably cause a lot of smoke. You'll ruin the paint but what have you got to lose at this point?

      YMMV
