Ignition coils

I am looking for and igniton coil for 1 and 4. I would like to replace both with new if I could. I have tried to find new and looked at the ones from DennisKirk that are in the post on here but 200 bucks is a little more then I would like to spend if I can avoid it. If any one knows where I might find coils or has some that have been tested and work let me know. As always thanks for your time. They are for a 78E.

I have a set of coils for an 81. I don't know if they will work in your application. Open to offers.

Hey Guys,

There is info in the tech tips on replacing the old wires in the OEM coils with new wires....IF that's the problem. But if you have done the diagnostics on your coils and have determined that they are FRIED, there is a very good cheap HIGH POWER replacement available from MikesXS.com. Again, there is a tech tip in the MODS section regarding this, these can be used with any model XS, just have to bypass the ballast resistor with the 78-80 models, and are plug and play with the 81XS and 82XJ!
