    special gas tank - rusted, dented, and abused

    I'm looking for a tank for a special. I really want something free/low cost. It doesn't matter if its rusty, dented, missing cap/petcocks/sender, rust holes, ect. I'm planning to try my hand at a "custom" fiberglass tank with more capacity but need a donor tank to work from, mostly for the shape and size of the "tunnel".

    A donation would get the donor a second run custom fiberglass tank for the cost of materials if things work out.

    Stock air box/K&N Filter, MAC 4-2 exhaust, Bad-Boy Air horn, TC fuse box, Windshield, Soft bags, Vetter Fairing, Blinkers->Run/Turn/Brake Lights, Headlight Modulator, hard wire GPS power

    I'm not ready to donate my tank to science, yet. However, if you are successful at this venture, I may be interested in a hi-cap fiberglass tank if you are going to make more than one.
    I know this, because Tyler knows this.

      I'm not sure. I'll commit to making two, one for me and one for a lucky individual that wants to donate a tank, because otherwise why would you give away a tank. Beyond that I'll have to see how much trouble it is to make one, how costly the materials are, ect. I will put up a "how to" type post in the proper forum when I'm done at the least. And possibly sell/donate the plug and mold I've made to an interested party that would be willing to make more if I decide against making tanks for all who want them.

      I want to be clear that I would also be willing to pay a small amount plus shipping for a junky tank. I'm sure someone has a special parts bike with a crap-tastic tank that they aren't using.
