    factory manual needed

    Hello all, this is my first post as I just joined. My friend has just bought a very clean 1979 XS Eleven Special. He has no computer or mechanical abilities so here I am. He switched his hi-beam on and lost both hi and low beams. It is not a fuse or the bulb. Before I go any further with this repair I feel I should at least have a schematic of the bike in question. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Personally I think XS11.com is the best resource for repair info and I recall several threads related to your problem. Try a search and see where that gets you. Next I think the clymers manual is OK since the factory manuals are a bit abbreviated. Factory manuals are available on the CD-ROM for the XS and XJ. See:
