Xj1100 Tci Tid14-10

Lets start an XJ 1100 TCI thread for those looking . Always good to have an extra ! They are maked TID14-10 and 10M-10 on a green foil sticker . Also IGNITION UNIT and Hitachi Ltd Tokyo Japan
Anyone have one ?

I do Axel, but I'm using it at the moment.


I've had my eye out for a spare as well, have yet to see one reasonably priced.
I wonder if an XS TCI could be modified? I'm not an electronics guru so I may be way off base on that!

Since you asked

I am presently using the 4RO TCI from a 81XS . They are not plug and play but a simple re-wiring of the plug got me going . I may not have the full effect of the advance system of the XJ (vac to the boost sensor to TCI) but it runs well enough. I would ,of course ,like to return to the original configuration . 4RO TCI's are generally cheaper though (around $100) . I paid $150 for mine at a wrecker near Napanee as I was in a terrible rush to get back on the road. He said no refunds period so when it initially didnt work I was frustrated .Upon inspection under the cover I realized the grounds were on a different pin(s) and switched these for the pickup wires (orange and grey on the XJ) in the pickup plug and KAPOW. Havent slowed down since.
