79 xs saddle bag part needed...

I'm looking for the rear chrome bracket for the stock Yamaha bags that goes from the exhaust mount to the top of the shock...the part that has the bracket that the two tubes slide into that wrap around the bags...

When I bought the bike, the bags were removed and one of these pieces was missing...

I'll try to post a picture of the one i have soon, so you know exactly what i'm talking about...

I'll wait for your pic, but I think I know what you are talking about. I guess it depends on the type of bags that you have.
Do you need a template to make the piece out of some other type of material? I think that I have seem them ins black and chrome.

I need lids for my saddlebags. They are factory Yamaha bags, off of an 81 standard I think. Does any bod y have some that they are willing to part with or want to get rid of?
