xj1100 seat

hello
i am looking for a seat for an xj1100. dont care about the shape of the foam or the cover as I am planning on reshaping it and dont want to ruin my seat now which is in good condition. just want to try a lower seat

I have one that fit an 80 xs1100g I dont know if tit will fit an xj , the cover is toast but you might beable to shave the foam on it and the pan is in good shape

The XJ uses a quick release mechanism that involves 'fingers' bolted to the bottom of the seat. This is different than any of the other 11s, so none of those seats will interchange.

Best bet is to keep looking on eBay or check with some motorcycle salvage yards.

An expensive option is to go with a custom seat; Diamond Seat of Florida makes XJ seats on pans they build in-house, but don't supply the 'fingers'. Cost is about $420.00 however.

I have a 1982 XJ that is to be parted out. The seat cover is bad. A good seat for your project.
Make reasonable offer.
And please remember that it takes forever for a part to clear Canadian Customs.
