Thanks Bill - I believe that the bikes you list all use 5/8 (15.8mm) MCs. To get the MC/calliper piston ratio right I need 11/16 or 3/4 (or metric equivalent), its for the track so it needs to be right. I currently have a 5/8 MC and the lever goes to the bar under heavy braking. Thanks for the offer of an XS 1100 MC, do you know what models they are from as not all went as big as 11/16? Thanks for your post, look forward to hearing back.

        mc

        i put a mc from a zx900 on my xs1100
the braking was 100% better you can't
beleive how bad the stock mc is until you
try this. and when you go to steel lines two from the mc not 3. two finger braking.
i'll check bore size if i have one it's yours

Bill - thanks for your advice, I didn't realise that the standard m/c was so bad. Clearly not a good idea for the race track then, you've saved me a lot of wasted time - many thanks.
