I'm looking for parts. I'm got a 79 and an 80 xs11. Both are softails I wanna convert one to a hardtail. I'm looking for spoke rims, custom tanks, custom fenders, hardtail conversions kits and info, springer seats etc. In way into the ratrod bobbers. Hit me up

got any photos? I'm interested for sure. Just a lil concerned about how a conversion kit would work on a shaft driven bike after doing done research. I've learned to make struts and have decided to use those in the meantime thanks for hitting me up

            hardtail/chaindrive

Okay go type in the following in our search... chaindrive and then go to anything xschop has to say and it will not steer you wrong.
Just so you know I talked to a couple of local frame gurus (chicken if you ask me) and they scratched their collective chins and said stuff like "I dunno" and "it aint a v twin bro" so I havent hardtailed mine yet... lemme know how you do yours. I have a chain conversion that I bought from xschop and it has been a regular plug and play

I got some pics of a rigid hardtail xs11 on my pc at home I will send u pics of when I get home tonite. It's a bike in brittain and the only true rigid I've seen of xs11s. I'm sure there ate more out there but my image searches online haven't came up with anymore. I've seen quite a few hardtail style xs11 bikes done with struts and I've learned how to that. Very simple. Just take some iron or solid steel blAnks and cut em to fit I'd desire height like 11 inches for a good dropped look and make sure ur bolt hole cut outs match ur shocks. The ate different on each shock on the bottom bolt width for some reason. There was a bad ass shaft drive rigid Kawasaki in the horse mag a few months back.and on the horse mag board there is a guy who did a special piece on " how to hardtail ur jap bike" there is also alot of good **** on jockey journals board. I still haven't seen anyone convert a shaft to chain drive thoth. I can't wait to check this out tonite when I get home. Thanks for ur help and advice. I look forward to discussing further with u.

yeah man I think its lame how alot of shops don't want **** to do with jap or metric bikes like There too cool for school and ****. I love harleys but I also like being original and not worrying about trying to do what everyone else is doin. I could care less. I just like cheap cool fun bikes.
