  • Wanted: 1981 XS100SH luggage rack

    Anyone got a luggage rack for an 81' SH laying around that they would want to sell?

    Luggage

    Are you speaking of the crome square tubeing rack above the
    rear fender. If so I have 1 off a 79 sp.
    I am going to my privet XS11 parts dump this weekend.
    I can and will take picks and send to you....Thanks

      Yeah that's what I'm talking about. Pictures would be great. I'm not sure the '79 rack will fit an '81 though. Do you know? I've been looking for a while and the '78 and '79 models seem to mount differently from the '80 and '81.

        I hate to wet blanket this, but I have a rack that fits an SF, but will not fit an SG/SH. The difference I found is a bolt hole just to the rear of the turn signals, that is present on the SF, but not there on an 80-81 frame. I tried the rack on Hobbyman's SF, and then sized it up on Dale_1's SH. That is when I noticed the missing bolt hole.

          Yeah - I've noticed that the '81 racks bolt up on a couple of bolts behind the seat and a couple other attachment points - I think the shock acorn nuts. I guess I'll have to keep my eye out for one of those. There's one on ebay right now but I don't like the style of it. Thanks for helping, John!
