Mike,
Advantages are no more adjusting your cam chain tension every so many thousand miles. It adjust itself as the chain stretches. Also, no more worrying about stripping out that small nut and bolt that sets the tension. Additionally, no more drippy nose on the ole style tensioner, that seal is now a bolt that holds the spring in place with a gasketed seal.
There is the XVZ 1200 and XVZ 1300 that fit up perfectly, I believe the VMAX ones also fit up perfectly. There are a few other models that will work with a small amount of "adjusting" to the mounting bolt holes.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
