Motorcycle Salvage Yard Heaven

Hey All,

I just came back from a salvage yard out here in Bakersfield CA. I had a mechanic there doing some work for me and I just picked up my bike and while I was there, I took some pictures of some things they had for sale let me know if anyone is interested:

I thought this would make a cool bobber project, he's selling this for about $800 OBO

This is a Suzuki 750, I think he said it ran too.  This one was going for about $800 OBO

I think this is a XS1100 but I'm not absolutely sure.  This one was going for about $800 OBO

This one was probably my favorite.  I think the problem with it was a bad rear timing chain or something like that.  It was going for $1000 OBO

There were a ton of others too, but these were my top draft picks. They had a bunch of chopper style bikes too. They don't take pictures and stuff of their bikes so I took the liberty.

The one you thought looked like an XS looks like an XJ to me. From that view I can not identify it as an 1100 or a 750. The more knowledgable folks here might be able to tell though.

Hate to say it though. But if it were me offering, the best I would go is ALOT less than what they are asking for any of those. They all look like work in the waiting to me.

I'm pretty sure they'd go a lot less. When he was telling me the prices I was thinking "uhh, maybe about half that".
