Some photos of the ride over Old McKenzie Pass.

    Lots and lots of lava.

    South Sister Mountain.

It was really nice meeting everyone that was there.

I am hoping to leave Portland tomorrow morning at around 7:30am and shooting for arrival at Detroit at 9:30am. Anyone up for a relative short (150 miles) day trip with a lunch in Sisters, OR? I think I will head out either way but it would be fun if a few wanted to ride along.

    See you all tomorrow am!

I agree. I haven't had a chance to talk to you since the rally at your place several years ago. Perhaps next time...

I'm packed and ready to head out. I-97 sounds like a good ride but I have to wait for yet-another new rear tire.

The rear tire picked up a nail so I had to order another one after only 1,000 miles on it. It should be here today or tomorrow. The bike looks funny all loaded up and ready to go with no rear wheel.

    Scott

Scott if you've never been up hwy 97 I would highly recommend the ride. It's beautiful here and we usually have great weather this time of year.I would recommend heading west on hwy 20 at north end of Bend to Sisters then on to Detroit lake from there.(Santiam pass)Remember sisters is last gas for 50 miles.Ride safe I'll see you on Friday.

Thanks, Skip! That makes it an easier choice than a coin toss!
