Hello Everyone,
I own a beloved '79 XS (not Special) that I've had for 10 years. I had a bunch of work done on it only to come up with an electrical problem that no one wants to work on b/c the bike is too old and would be too expensive.
Here is the best description I can give of the problem: When started, and especially as it warms, the tachometer begins to sweep and it eventually burns out the ignition coil, i think. Anyhow, I know the tach sweeps but as the bike is not running I can't be sure of the rest of the problem.
Does anyone know where I should start to diagnose this problem?
Thanks,
Jeff
