changing heads
hi
i have to take the head off my 1981 xs1100h.i am going to change the head as there is major fin damage from po crash.also the valve stem seals are leaking.i dont have a spare 81 head to put back on 1 78 1 79.these heads are complete with cams.i also have nos racing valve springs.can i use my bigger 81 valves in the 79 head as long as i tap them in properly.i like the midrange power of the 81 so i was going to use the 81 cams.i will also put pods on the carbs as well.the racing chain drive xs1100 used pods but with the air cleaner rams as well.has any one done this mod.
