Although my newly purchased 1980special is in great shape 18000 miles, I keep on reading about people tearing it down and restoring it. From all the searching so far this is a very hard bike to find parts for. yes you can get gaskets,clutch parts,cables.mirrors,valve shims, but after that you can't find much. I thought a teardown would include bearings and other such hard parts. There must be some supplier out there somewhere,otherwise are the bikes going back together with all the used worn parts. Just wondering.
