Today we hit an all time high of 70 degrees! I took advantage of this and removed my fairing, seat & tank to install a brand new Tachometer and a new set of NKG resister plugs in my XS1100 Tourer.
Wow, what a difference these made! My old tach worked but it would float around in a 500 rpm range while cruising down the highway and the fuel gauge would only show 1/4 full when I would fill my tank up.
Now the tach is rock solid and the fuel gauge works perfectly.
While I had the fairing and tank removed I installed a set of special ordered resister sparkplugs. This got rid of the notorious ignition buzzing in my stereo system. Now just pure music!
If your tach is flakey like mine was, just keep an eye on this ebay search link. Sooner or later a new one will appear on there. I seen three go on ebay during 2004' and finally bid to win on the third one and got it for only $59 = shipping.
