Got 2 xs11’s out of winter storage

It snowed 2 days ago, but it has been warm and I got the bug to start the machines. The Beast (78E) started right up and ran perfectly on a test ride.

Cherry, (78E with 81H carbs) had some problems. It started right up, but No 4 pipe was cold on the test run. Had spark. Pulled the plug and it was fouled. Cleaned it up and restarted it. Wallah! Pipe got hot and exhaust blew smoke until it cleared. All is well. Now I just need to run all of the old gas out and replace with new.

I will be selling the Beast. It breaks my heart because it is a strong running and good looking bike. Asking price will be 1800.00 and it will go on Craigs List soon.

Down to one 1978 E. Stock air box with K&N filter, 81H pipes and carbs, 8500 feet elevation.

Good job Sid! Snow.......wow, could use some of that moisture here. Been in the high 70s-low 80s here for month now.
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.
