Well, I found sucess. Having both balls and springs missing on my SG carbs, and not wanting to have to special order new ones from Yamaha (at $10 each), I looked for an alternate. After one false start on the springs, I found some at McMaster-Carr that work.
Now, the only problem is these need to be cut to length, and by the time you buy the minimum amount you're up to about $19 with shipping, or only slightly less than OEM. The good part, you'll have a lifetime supply...
Anyway, the part # is 9637K44 for the springs. If anybody needs a set and you don't need/want a lifetime supply, I'll sell two each (balls, springs already cut to size) for $5, including postage. Send me a PM...
