Engine noises solved !!!!

Hi,I havent posted in a couple of years.My 79 xs1100 has always had engine noises.Thought first it was cam tension.Tightened adjustment,still noisy.Sounded like lower end knock.Thought maybe clutch basket noise or Hi-Vo chain.Anyways,after reading numerous posts and finding out the importance of carb syncing,I did the pre-sync carb method in the maintenance section of this website,using bread tie wire etc etc.After doing this and firing it back up the engine was so quiet I was amazed.Thanks to this great site I now have a bike I can be confident in riding with no problems!!I will send in a donation because information is priceless!
