located the problem

took the cover off and the clutch and found out what is wrong with my bike. looks like i will be cracking the case and replaceing the primary drive assymbly. i know i cant spell lol. anyway i can turn it by hand and it slips and wont turn the motor over so i am thinking either the chain is loose or one of the gears is striped or the cam cluthes and what not are just not working properly.

thanx to Maxim for all the help and being so kind to give advise. i'll have to buy ya a beer if i ever get a chance to go to a bike run.
