With SWMBO on the back, and a full tank of gas we set out on friday for Branson MO. The 125 mile ride up the "pig trail" to MO was our first road trip on Frankenstein. We stopped for gas at the 100 mile mark just be safe. Even heavy on the throttle and two up with gear through the twisties, Frank stayed at his usual 32Mpg. Once in branson we had a good nights sleep and then back on the bike to ride all over town. Every time we stopped for gas or to eat we got comments on how cool our old bike was. Several guys on Harleys and goldwings told me they had one when they were a kid and wished they still had it. Some perks we had were Parking at the front gate of the amusement parks and a mysterious discount at two local restraunts. Maybe carrying SWMBO's helmet around wasn't so bad. All in all a fun trip. The ride home was even better as we were able to send some of the gear and luggage(My overstuffed backpack) home with relatives we met up with on saturday. My favorite part? Leaning full throttle at 65 Mph into a turn marked 40. SWMBO's favorite part? Smacking me upside the helmet for "driving too fast". Great weekend!
