So, decided to make myself more visible and liked "TheRev"s idea putting driving lights on the bike. I did not like the big gawky lights and was trying to figure-out my wants till I saw a Youtube video of an older crotch rocket with 3" square lights. I began to research mounting locations till I saw some products mounted on the calipers, which I liked. So, got on eBay, found some Cree LED lights, and they arrived today.
Since my headlight is LED, I assume it's probably drawing the least amount of current of all four circuits, so I tapped into that line and ran a ground to the other side of the R/R, since the battery side already had three ring terminals on it.
I mounted the lights using a two hole angle strap, same thing I used for the Dyna coil install. I'm pretty sure I'll need to buy something more rigid, as I noticed them bouncing a little going down the road. I would not be suprised if one angle broke from stress. Pics to follow on Wednesday when the weather is nice. I went for a quick ride and was not blown away or anything by the light. Off to bed . . .
