I never rode one, a buddy of mine had a newer one and has always regretted selling it. Said it was the perfect blend of speed, power, weight, and maneuverability. I stick with my old, heavy xs11s and xs850.....the only reason I would even consider a newer bike would be not to work on it.

R6 sucks, imo. I have an R1. Power is fun, but seat position is painful.

Sport bikes are fun, and they stop and turn nicely! I can’t even say I mind the seating position, just can’t be trusted with the power.
I’ve been told the r-6 is the perfect motorcycle

That is so cool. I hope it works out for you.
I have to admit, I am becoming sport bike curious.
The biggest thing holding me back is the stigma, same as the Harley image is incompatible for me.

Not another one!!!! YEP! ANOTHER ONE
Mike,
Seems I'm likely to take a bigger lead.
When I went to grab the 600 frame I was introduced to another bike. It has been in the shop for 3 years. Was running when taken there but needed some work. Owner is VERY anxious to sell.....
IF and only IF they can find the title.....
This is what it is SUPPOSED to look like.....
Marty says it looks better than most of the junk I drag home.
I can't pass it up for the price IF THE TITLE CAN BE FOUND

I guess you are ahead for now, but we're not dead yet.
Louann and I plan to move 4.5 hours away in about 3 years. I have to ration my stable until then. Look out after that, as I plan to have a 40x60 pole barn if things work out as planned. On the other hand, I'll be constrained by a retirement budget.

Sort of sad day.
I sold one of my Triples yesterday because I am getting more bikes than I can attend to:
Made friends with the new owner. He had Harley, then a new Kawasaki Versys 650. Believe it or not, he wanted to sell the Versys and have the XS750 instead.
It's comforting to know it will be loved instead of chopped up...after I spent the effort to get it correct again.Tags: None
