The only difference I can see is the ground effects.Other than that it's the same bike.
I haven't seen Ivan ride his XS since he got his FJR. He says it sucks at low speed though. LOL...saw him just fall over a couple of times in parking lots.
But out riding he walks all over our XSs and XJs.Leave a comment:

Ha ha!I'd hate to present a health risk to any XSive. I'll not post any more pix... not even any of the lovely seat fairing I put on which covers and streamlines the unused passenger seat in shiny black ABS. Or the left 'window' engine casing which replaces the solid OEM one and allows you to watch the timing plate spinning round. Very trick and a bit brash but.... nice..... Nope, I won't post those pix....
Would you mind... ummmm... maybe posting just ONE more pic?
or two? Maybe three?
I'll get a towel for my keyboard and a bib and steelraider can grab his nitroglycerin tablets.
lol

I think the people that have health issues should avoid this thread. Some of use here want to see the beautiful bike that we here cannot have!Leave a comment:

James-
Please stop posting pictures of your bike. It is the harshest form of torture I can imagine. I have a heart condition and have to double my medicine dose each time you post. It is not fair that you Brits have access to these bikes and we don't. If you continue to taunt us I will have to take drastic action.
Really James, you must consider our feelings when you do this sort of thing !!!!!

Thanks, will definately look at that. Those spacers look like they're well made. Ive read on the XJR1300 forum that some have moved the air box forward to accommodate the shorter manifolds, but ive looked at that option and it looks like a pain in the arse. Think i'll use your method instead.
What does the 4 degree advance mod entail?
The 4 degree advance mod takes about 3 minutes and is a bolt on timing plate thing which replaces the OEM one. It looks identical to OEM except for the projecting metal tab which fires the coils. Here's one.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-XJR...item231df411e4 I don't think you can do this mod thought if you have the fuel injected version....Last edited by James England; 05-31-2012, 03:51 PM.Leave a comment:

A picture of this bike is my desktop pic. Has been since James posted this up. Just keeps reminding me of what we can't have.Leave a comment:

Skipping past the legitimate portion of your post and going directly to...To which, the most eloquent reply I can give at the moment is:
lol
Re drooling....... as it said on a kid's T-shirt I saw.... "It's Cool to Drool"
I shall continue to look at the pictures of these bikes without fear of losing my awesomeness.
