seems like today is the day for posting questions on smaller dirt bikes (and enduros)......
Sunday, I picked up a '79 Honda XL100S. Bike was listed as having no compression. Thought it would make a great father-son project and a good beginner bike for my youngest son.
We got the bike home and removed the valve cover to find the exhaust valve stuck open so we removed the head. The cylinder was also removed to further inspect the rings and piston. We still have to measure the wear on the cylinder, but I think we may be able to just clean, hone, replace with std rings. Both valves will get replaced and the head cleaned.
Other than ebay and Honda Parts-Direct.com, does anyone have a good site for parts for these bikes?
