Well I tackled that clutch this weekend. Many thanks to TopCat; your instructions for replacing the plates was right on. Everything went without a hitch. And it's true, if you lean the bike on the side stand, you don't have to drain the oil. I never lost a drop. I also didn't need to stick a block of wood between the rear wheel and frame. I was able to break the main clutch nut free with no rear wheel spin. Man, those EBC springs are stiff. They are advertised to be 10% stiffer than stock. That and the fact that the ones I took out have over 65,000 miles on them add up to a now very stiff clutch lever. But man, that clutch really engages now. I took it real easy for the first 20 - 30 miles, but then later pushed it a little - no slip at all now. The clutch really locks up tight when you release that lever. Again, I can't give enough thanks to TopCat and everyone else who helped out with tech tips and advice. Many, many thanks to everyone.
