I recently bought some inexpensive leather bags for my 79 xs spec. and they don't seem to fit well. Did I waste some money? Are there special bags for this bike? Any info. would be appreciated.

This reminds me of XS camp 2000 In AK, one of the listers (who will remain nameless) had leather bags that sat right on his straight exhaust, he told us how he melted a rain suit but didn't bother to change the bags. Same guy also had an oil pressure gage (that somehow blew apart while he was checking it and dumped all over his event shirt
) anyway during the weekend he also won an award for 'almost having an accident' and got some kind of guard rail feeler as a prize. Sory this post is not really related to yours but I felt it was relevant!
