  • Handy Tool For Working on Bikes

Earlier this week I picked up a used Snap On CT561 3/8 impact wrench for $50. Its pretty beat up but works fine and I have to say I am pretty happy with the purchase. Its only a 7.2v so it only puts out 50ft pounds of torque but that is more than enough to remove most of the smaller bolts on my bike and my friends bikes. It's small size and 2.5lb weight really helps get into tight spaces that bigger impacts can't. Also the limited power makes it harder to over tighten and strip fasteners. Only downside is that the NiCads are starting to wear down and run time isn't the best but considering their age and that they were only 700mah when new its understandable and besides it came with 2 batteries. I also own a Milwaukee Fuel M12 impact with 120ft pounds of torque for daily use, but for the price I couldn't pass the Snap On up. Anyone out there with one of these models?
