A good day
A day spent riding & visiting, eating, touring... a Good Day.
Visited so long that rush hour was over before we returned through Atlanta. Nice to have friends in common. Any suggestions, Ray?...on what to do with the kickstand switch on my "modern bike"?
Ride when you can,

Need very little to be cohersed if its two-wheel related. Pocket book may reflect something different though. Rather it be cage or two wheels, a trip of that sort WILL lighten your pockets a grand at minimum.....BTDT......and still got 1700mi. and two days headin' back.
Trailerin' either scoot behind my 7.3diesel would be obviously the best option unless I was heading that direction on a LD ride anyways.....but this late in the year, that sure ain't happening anyways. To easy to wind up like 3Phase last year up on two wheels, and not be able to get over the 'hill' (VailPass/EishenhowerTunnel) for a couple days
......not good as your gonna need some serious cold weather ridin' gear.......and that's AFTER the weather clears!

Dean,
If we can get you down here, just once, you'll be riding down here with MaximPhil every September from now on. I have a feeling we may have given Brant an itch to return east.Leave a comment:

I don't think it's fair to call US129 at Deals Gap overrated. Tell me where you can find a more technical road that goes on for so many miles like that. Overrated? No. It does get busy and there seems to be no shortage of fools crossing the center line or driving off the road. I'll give you that. By time we go through there on Sept 27, most of the crowd will have moved on. The Dragon can take your life if you don't respect it!
My Pine Mountain ride ended up at just about 320 miles yesterday. I had forgotten about some of the great rides in that area. It was good to go back and even better to shake hands with another forum member.Last edited by jetmechmarty; 08-27-2014, 07:30 AM.Leave a comment:

Meeting Motoman
A few pics from the ride back toward Atlanta after luncheon with Motoman.
We talked till 5pm so I guess that qualifies as a luncheon?
Riding GA Hwy 190
(i'm fixing the pickup coil wires on my XS11 so had to ride the Triumph Sprint today

Stopped at Franklin D Roosevelt's fav picnic spot outside Warm Springs GA

Brent (btw note he has rebuilt the motor on ol' red so it should be good for ANOTHER 250,000 miles.
Its back on the road with mucho power) riding the Red Oak Covered Bridge
Brent now has first responder collection of Fire & Police HD's. choices-choices

Marty wobbling on the boards of the Covered Bridge
