Yes, but they don't drive afterward. The penalties here are far more severe than in the US.

I was on a job in Nagoya for a couple of weeks once.
Stayed at the Marriot which had a nice breakfast buffet with pancakes, eggs, sausage and such. I ate a lot of breakfast each day, not knowing what new and wonderful things lunchtime would place before me.

Got a 'box lunch' one day...... beautiful laquered box with dragons and trees and stuff all over it. Open it up and it has all these little compartments with, I dunno, whale blubber and sea urchins in it. I ate the rice ball, but the rest? Sheesh, I was raised on meat and potatoes! The box was really nice though.

Fortunately, there was a Hard Rock not far from the hotel. I ate dinner there quite often. Made up the rest in beer, those folks love to drink.

I'm not so sure the rectum is chicken rectum. Some of the stuff is lost in translation. "Leather" is either chicken skin or what is marketed as "pork rind" in the U.S. I had some of the same things in Thailand. Here, I prefer ramen and sushi. There are lots of good things to eat here, just don't expect steak and potatoes.

    Hi Marty,
only the Japanese could be that thoughtful.
Chicken rectum with Welsh onion; Doubtless a special order on St. David's day.
Friend of mine was in Indonesia when she converted to vegetarianism.
Claimed it was the beaks and feet in the chicken stew that did it.

    Spit Roasted Uterus

I think I've had that a number of times before... Available by a number of other names. Tastes like chicken...looks like a taco... It is definitely an appetizer, Definitely not a dessert. Never had a problem finding it yet.
