That young, it shouldn't take it too long to figure out it is safe with you. My wife found one in a parking lot like that. Very wild at first. Took it a day or two before it was sleeping with us.

There was a wild "kat" issue back at my old place. The only way to catch one was to wait until they were asleep and grab them. One bit me so my reflex ended up launching it about 30 feet. I tried to tame three more of them, of which the smallest one turned somewhat normal and lives with my wife's brother. The rest of them were just wild as hell, like a Tasmanian devil in a cage. The story can be read two different ways.
I found that if it doesn't stop hissing after a few hours, it's probably too wild.

Yea it's got food and water but I am not sticking my have in there. It is ether very scared or wild. It hiss's as soon as anyone walks by the cage. It will stay in the cage until cleared by the vet then it's one day at a time I guess.'Cause they figure some dummy will pick them up, put them in a cage, and take them home. Beats the old days when they'd put 'em in a gunny sack and take 'em for a swim..
Some people might give it some food and water to find out.. Just a suggestion though.. lol.
Looks pretty wild at the moment. I think you should stick your hand in there and let it scratch and chew on your little finger for a while. Might not be so hungry after that??

John always gets this strange look on his face when he knows I've seen an animal in distress... Not sure why...
Although, it could have something to do with the birds, frogs, cats, etc that have lived with us throughout the years...
(just until they get well, Honey... really)

Reminds me of the pile of rabbits we had once... We had 27 bunnies running loose in the back yard. We ended up taking them all to the dry riverbed and letting them go. I bet the coyotes and hawks had a field day that afternoon! With the number of homeless people living in there, they might even have ended up as people food for all I know.Leave a comment:

whitefaced 2-tone grey tabby, right? You are not the only pushover on this list. Let me quote my dear wife:-
"There's a cat where I work that was brought in to catch mice, can I bring it home just for the long weekend?"
Friday night in comes the cat c/w $50 of cat-related goodies.
Seems like "the long weekend" is 5 years and counting.
BTW if the Salt tanks on your profile are saltwater tropical fish tanks, keep the lids on.

Poor little thing looks to be perhaps 5 or 6 weeks old and is dirty, scared and likely hungry and thirsty.

Abandoned Kat
Someone dumped a kitten off around our office / warehouse and I couldn't leave it there to die. Why do people do that? Poor little thing looks to be perhaps 5 or 6 weeks old and is dirty, scared and likely hungry and thirsty. It was hunkered down under the overhang at ground level of the building next door. Looks like a new addition to the household.
