Last week-end, Summersville, WV had its first annual Freedom Rally. It started off on Friday the 7th with a Poker Run. There was 126 bikes on the Poker Run including one XS Eleven [mine], a Lehman Trike and even a Ural side-car rig. Other riders/bikes on the run included the Mayor of Summersville on his Harley, WV Sec. of State Joe Manchin on his Harley, and my buddy, Keith, who rode his '86 Suzuki Travalcade LXE in from Maryland.
We rode 67 miles, stopping at four bars and an Applebee's. The
winning hand consisted of four Jacks, King high. And the winning hand belonged to -------ME!!!!!!!!!!! It was the first Poker Run that I have ever won. I took home $260.00 CASH!! The other "half" of the Poker Run money went to the Veterans Orginization. And, I must add that a good, and a safe time was had by all.
I wish other XS/XJ owners the luck that I had that day.
