The idea of vintage bike racing intrigues me. Not that I feel I'd be up to it, but maybe someday. I hope to catch some of it next week in Laconia. I was looking at the rulebook which is here:

Looks like our XS triple bretheren are a-ok, but our beloveds would have to be severely handicapped. Displacement for four cylider in the Vintage Superbike Heavyweight class is 1025 cc. Unfair I say, oh the oppression!
XS1100s are allowed with stock carbs, but have to be limited to the displacement level. I've read about big bore to increase displacement, but how would you decrease it?
