I sent a "question", actually a statement, to the lister of a set of special carbs on eBay. I don't think it's necessary to give the listing number, but in case he/she doesn't edit the listing:
The carbs are listed as coming off a running bike, and the 1 and 4 slides are in the fully open position. They could be stuck, but since the carbs look pretty clean either the springs are missing or something is seized. Whether they are worth $275 is up to you!
