Well, I just missed my chance to meet my another XSive. I am down at my in-laws to work for the week known as "Spring Break." Some break!
Anyway, my father in law asked me to take out his '05 650 V-Star to see how it runs after getting it back from the shop. So, I went out for a quick 15 minute ride. On my way back, I am just about to turn off the highway, and I see a bike coming up on me. I see four pipes. I am navigating a nasty turn and trying to check out this bike. I look back just as it gets by and see in big gold letters on the back of a leather jacket, XS!!
Instantly, I know that it was xs650mike on his XS11, "Rusty". It looked as he went by that he might just be putting along. So, I turned around and tried to catch up. YEAH RIGHT!! Me on a 650 v-twin, trying to catch a guy on an XS1100, who was racing brit bikes decades before I was born, on a super twisty mountain road. Oh well, sooner or later I am going to get to meet one of you guys.
