Hey guys,
I got my standard tank painted, and don't really see a need for two tanks. So I am looking to sell the special tank. Here it is (on the ever changing bike, that is):
It was my first go 'round with a full tank airbrush project, and so the paintwork is not perfect. It is PPG base/ clear, three coats black, 6 coats clear, midcoated between the airbrush work and the black. There is some mild wear and tear, light swirl marks, etc, from being on the road two years, but nothing really serious. The Yamah badges were added after a someone damaged the tank in that area (chipped the paint) It cannot be seen with the decals. The working thermistor is included (found another for the standard tank) but the petcocks will have to be reworked to close completely. The only other thing is that the key lock has been damaged, and now only opens with an odd, non Yamaha key (although it does lock).
I was thinking in the the neighborhood of $250 for the tank, but I will consider offers to members. PM me if you are interested.
