I bought this Special about a year ago thinking it would be my first project bike and never did anything with it. It did not run when I bought it and it still does not run. The battery is dead from sitting but it did turn over when I bought it. The rear tire is flat from sitting as well. There is a dent in the tank from where I dropped it on the garage door while pushing it around. It has a Kerker 4 to 1 exhaust, for what thats worth. I was told that the carbs had been rebuilt before I bought it, but the previous owner said he did not replace the floats for some reason. I put gas in it once and it leaked out of the throttle openings so a float is definitely stuck. It does not have the original air box and has air filter pods instead.
I bought a 2024 Honda and discovered that I just want to ride a motorcycle and I don't want to deal with a project bike right now. I am open to any offers. Show up with a pack of steaks or beer or some cash or something.
I figured I would post on here before opening it up to the chaos that is FB.
I am located on the NH seacoast and I can help load the bike. I have ramps as well.
